Callaway's 2006 Sweet Nancy Winemaker's Notes: From the Press Enterprise: "Sweet Nancy is a late harvest chenen blanc, described alternately as 'thick' ,'fruity', 'spicy', and 'smooth', with hints of apricot and peach." TWOL's Notes: ... It's back! Only made 10 times over the last four decades, starting in 1974 with Ely Callaway naming it after his wife. It received national acclaim then, and nearly each time released, since. This could be the last release, since the vineyard that produced these grapes has since been plowed under to make way for homes. Get it while you can. Only 9,500 bottles made. See article in Riverside's Press Enterprise Front Page "Sweet Nancy: Sweet Vintage, Bitter Irony" Monday 06/05/06. This will be a wine collector's dream.
