Miramonte 2001 Syrah

Winemaker's Notes: Lush aromatic profile featuring a plentiful dark berry characters, with hints of violet, lavender, cinnamon, and a subtle undercurrent of clove.  Those same aromas develop into a lush arrangement of dark berry and black cherry flavors, featuring a light smoky character lingering in the background.  Excellent acidic and tannic structure, and a velvety mouthfeel lend added sophistication, and offer this wine the opportunity to develop its lengthy, voluptuous finish.  Aged almost 24 months in premium French and Russian oak.
