Bella Vista/ Cilurzo Winery This winery was known until recently as Cilurzo Vineyard and Winery. It was founded by Vincenzo Cilurzo. He was the first to plant a vineyard in Temecula in 1968. Mr. Cilurzo has sold the winery, hence the name change to Bella Vista Cilurzo. Only the name has changed, not the quality of wines produced by this fine winery. They have a crush capacity of 250 tons and produce many award winning wines. Among the awards are their Gold Medal and Best of Class at the West Coast Wine Competition 2002 Vognier, Gold Medal, Best of Class and Best Wine of South Coast Region 2002 Late Harvest Petite Syrah, and their 2001 Petite Syrah Reserve, winner of a Gold, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze Medals. |
